Ab Exercises For Muscle Confusion

When doing ab workouts you need the right ab exercises to give you an intense enough workout so your abdominals will be tired and worn out. Your body will recognize the exhaustion in your abs and start to rebuild them so they can become stronger.

As you try to achieve your flat stomach or six pack abs goals, your body will catch on to what you are doing. Your body is smart enough to know what parts of the muscle to repair in order to endure your workouts longer and with less wasted energy.

Although this is a good thing to know, the more you do the same workouts, the less effective your workouts will be. This happens because you do the same ab exercises in the same order with the same amount of reps and sets each time you go to workout at the gym.

This is where muscle confusion is needed. Muscle confusion is a technique to adjust your ab exercises so your body can never figure out a pattern. As a result, your body will be required to fully rebuild your muscle compared to padding up a specific muscle area with strength.

For example, if someone hits you in the stomach and you get hit there consistently, you will be smart about it and put a pillow there so the hits don't hurt as much. Your body does the same thing with muscles. When the same ab exercises are done over and over it doesn't rebuild your muscle as effectively because it knows what parts of your abdominal region are working the most and require the most strength.

Having a great workout plan that focuses on randomness of exercises while targeting your mid-section is the ideal way to burn belly fat and really get a tone body faster than normal. Workout Pass is a collaboration of many highly qualified personal trainers that are able to create these types of workouts. With their help, you'll be able to reach your goals and get the body you've always wanted faster.

Muscle confusion is only helpful if you are doing the right ab exercises. Even though most exercises are helpful, you need to make sure you are performing them correctly. When performed correctly you will be able to get more out of your workout and tire out your six pack abs faster. This exhaustion will make your body rebuild the muscle helping in the toning of your flat stomach.

In addition to doing the ab exercises correctly, you need to have a decent bank of exercises to pick from. Although my website offers a few good ab exercises, the best and most effective ones can be found in Mike Geary's book, The Truth About Six Pack Abs. He goes into great detail with each exercise so you not only do the exercise correctly, but you target the exact spot of your midsection for best results.

Once you've increased your abdominal exercises reservoir to at least 25 exercises, you will be able to work on a routine that will allow you to never plateau. This means more consistent results and less time trying to break through the plateaus you'll encounter from your workouts.

Variation To Your Ab Exercises

To add variation to your ab exercises you will need to be a little creative when it comes to your ab workouts. For example, lets say you do 10 exercises every time you workout. When you work out you go in order from exercise 1 all the way through 10.

To add a little bit of variation to the workout, try doing the workout backwards. This means your first workout would be exercise 10 and your last workout would be exercise 1.

Another way to switch things up a little is to do every odd exercise first followed by all of the even ones. Using the 10 exercise example, this means your first 5 exercises would be exercise 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9. Then these would be followed by your last 5 exercises by doing exercise 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10. You can even choose to do even and then odd exercises the next time to keep the routine different.

Continuous rearranging of your workouts will keep your abdominals on their toes, because it will not be able to get used to a workout. The more variation there is, the easier it will be to get to your ripped six pack abs or your sexy flat stomach goals.

Muscle Confusion

Muscle confusion brings everything that was mentioned on this page together. It uses both variation and a large number of ab exercises. In order to use the muscle confusion technique, you must have at least 25 or more abdominal exercises in your brain's database that you know how to do correctly and effectively.

Using the 10 ab exercises example, your first workout will simply be going in order with exercises 1 through 10. The next time you workout, you will choose 5-8 exercises to remove from your workout and to replace with other exercises.

Where you place these new exercises doesn't matter as long as you move the exercises that stay in your ab routine. For example if you take out 8 exercises leaving exercise 1 and exercise 10 in your workout, you will need to move the location of these two exercises.

Instead of exercise 1 being first, move it to the middle of your routine. You can do the same for your exercise 10. Instead of exercise 10 being last, move it to the middle as well.

Then take the 8 new exercises you plan to put into your routine and place them in whatever order you wish. Keep in mind that after you do this new workout, the ones that you took out of the previous workout can be considered new additions to the next workout when you make your ab routine for the next day.

I know this seems a little confusing, but the gains you will get from it are amazing. This is why I continue to tell you about Mike's book. The book goes into great detail with the most effective exercises for your entire mid-section area, gives you great nutrition plans, and teaches you all about the tricks of getting abs and a flat stomach.

You will continue this type of constant rearrangement with every trip to the gym. The randomness of every workout will encourage your body to rebuild your muscle stronger, preventing you from reaching a plateau. With this your goals will be in reach and you'll be all the more closer to your dream body!
