Something Is Better Than Nothing

Like the saying goes "Something is always better than nothing" and it is very true when it comes to working out your abdominal core as well. Every day your abs do not get some form of an intense workout, that becomes one day closer to your body thinking that it can start storing fat in this region.

Since your organs are located in your stomach region you body will want to instinctively put fat in the area to protect your organs. This means that it is harder to lose belly fat because your body is going to be stubborn about it.

Therefore it's very important that you find a way to do a quick set of crunches or whatever your favorite exercise is at least one a day. It may not seem like much, but if you take five minutes every morning to do a few quick sets for your abs, your body will keep your abdominal region tight which encourages better fat burning.

Feel The Burn

If you are doing six pack exercises and are not feeling the burn of your abdominals becoming exhausted, then you are doing something wrong. If you don't feel some form of exhaustion you need to increase your resistance or increase the number of reps that you do by 5.

5 additional repetitions does not seem like a large amount, but if you add it on to every set that you do, the results that you will get later will add up to quicker muscle growth and faster fat loss in the lower abs region.

Water Regulation

Staying hydrated during a workout is very important to maintain the energy level of your workout while helping to keep your body cooler. The problem is that people usually drink way too much water during their workouts.

If you are using a water fountain you should only take small sips in between every other set at the most. If you do it more frequently than this, your body will start to get water logged and your workouts will become more painful causing your motivation levels to drop.

To keep energy levels up, drink an 8 oz. glass of water 30 minutes before you work out and then another 8 oz. glass immediately after you are done with your workout. If you are using a protein shake, then you can use the shake as your 8 oz as long as you make the shake large enough.

Experience The Muscle Flexing

Every rep that you do, no matter what exercise you are doing, will require some part of your body to lift up your shoulders or legs off the ground. Knowing where these spots are is a great way to make sure that you are doing the workouts correctly and effectively.

When you do your six pack exercises, go ahead and place your finger tips on your target area and make sure you feel your body flexing those abs. As your body's muscles flex and contract you should feel the whole muscle getting worked out.

If you are not, you can make slight adjustments from what you feel to target the area more effectively. In order to learn more about your body and the best exercises to target your abdominals you should take the time to brush up on your anatomy.

Another way to learn more about yourself is to buy The Truth. Mike Geary's book is a great way to learn about your body's anatomy, the best ways to target the areas, multiple nutrition plans to fit every unique pallet, effective abdominal exercises, and ab workouts that will help to rip your six pack.

The Bottom Line

In conclusion, dedication and consistency are still going to be your top two contributors to your success in obtaining a six pack. After these two the rest are all tied for third. It is very important for you to never start to slack off so your body will not start to think it can start gaining fat again.

Keeping your body in a constant fat burning state will help you lose belly fat and gain that dream six pack body faster. The best way to do this is through the steps listed above. The most important one is that you find some way to put your abs to work every time they are scheduled to. Do this and you will be happy with the results you will see!
